What is Power Camp?

Power Camp is a Sports Day Camp for kids 8-12 years old.  Each camper focuses on one sport during the week.

Why Power Camp?

Power Camp is a time of perspiration and inspiration.  In addition to becoming better athletes, campers will learn how to apply faith in sports through guest speakers, huddles, small groups, music and Christian coaches.

What Parents Are Saying About Power Camp?

  • "I was very impressed with the young people you had as Huddle Leaders.  They were so attentive to the campers and such good role models for them.  Both of the twins are still talking about their leaders and things they told them."  (Power Camp grandmother)

  • "During Power Camp our son learned a lot about himself, God and basketball and that was wonderful.  This was his first ever experience with a camp and it was one of the best that I could ever have hoped for."  (Power Camp parent)

  • "I felt as though you all really genuinely cared about the kids and I didn't feel any hesitation leaving them in your care." (Power Camp parent)

  • "Just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and prayers for the Power Camp.  Our son enjoyed it very much.  We wish we had participated before now." (Power Camp parent)

What a great year of Power Camp.  Our theme this year was "STRONG".  Based on 2 Timothy 4:7

There was excitement in the air each day of Power Camp.  We had 96 Campers on board for the week participating in Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Football, Cheer and Dance.  There were 15 First-time Decisions and 24 Recommitments to Christ through the week.  What a time to fellowship and focus on their talents and understanding the strength God provides to each of us.   We thank all of our gracious underwriters for our meals during the week:  Cracker Barrel of Waynesboro, Sandy Huffman of Long and Foster Realty, Rob Shirley of State Farm, Dominos of Waynesboro and Tropical Smoothie of Staunton and Harrisonburg.  Thank you again Wilson Memorial High School and Assistant Principal and AD, Craig Flesher.
